Schexnaydre Residence

Spencer was hired by good friends, Kent & Donna Schexnaydre to help design their Kitchen Cabinets and eventually ended up assisting performing and assisting Mr. Joe Porche with other Millwork in the house. Spencer personally dismantled every single cypress window sash and door being that they were pegged together with mortise & tenon style construction in order to combine and repair parts. Spencer pioneered a few methods on the house he hadn't seen done before like repaired window muntins in a style in which allowed the owners to keep as much original wood as possible. Spencer also assisted with the wainscotting and stair details among other parts of the restoration. Kent & his family has since opened a Contracting Company specializing in raising, moving, and restoring buildings.
