Lambert Residence
Spencer was hired by Public Service Service Commissioner of Louisiana, Louis Lambert and wife Mary Lambert to renovate a dependency replica to a fully functional and separate residence for their daughter, Jessica Lambert. The house lay adjacent to one of A. Haystown's houses from the the famous coffee table book that adorns so many homes in Louisiana. The home needed to be unique, yet match the scale of architecture brilliance the main house exuberated. Spencer, with the assistance and combined input of Mary Lambert, his father Henry, and brother Marc designed this home utilizing the existing board & batten structure. Mr. Joseph Porche was the lead carpenter and performed a most excellent job of executing the combined vision. The home has since been expanded to add a 2-story level and a third of its width expanded to a point it doesn't exude the same scale pictured below.
