Judge Poche Plantation
Spencer was hired by the owners in 1994 to make repairs on this plantation home as well as the adjacent carriage house house and guest home. Columns were repaired, siding exchanged, windows patched with epoxy, and newel posts restored. A massive beam under the the center dormer in the rear had deteriorated and needed to be completely replaced. The beam was supported with curved corbels. Lattice work was added around the perimeter as well as equipment screens for the HVAC units. The repairs took about 9 months. The plumbing was repaired and the house ultimately painted .
